Cherish Home is a mural by Nathan Delinois, known as Nate Dee. The South Florida native draws from his Haitian heritage with a rich and striking color palette reminiscent of the island. His work has met with critical acclaim and gained national attention with features in such magazines as Delve, Making Waves, DUO and The Miami New Times. Dee was named one of the top Miami artists to follow on Instagram.

In Cherish Home, the artist incorporates elements of Florida’s fauna and flora, focusing on endangered species, including the Miami blue butterfly, Florida panther, Florida coneflower, and grasshopper sparrow. Central to the composition, are a beautiful woman gazing through a blue butterfly mask at a panther who, in turn, is looking at her. Their interaction and proximity create an ethos of connectedness, and is underscored by the color of the panther’s eyes which exactly matches the blue butterfly on her face.

Dee found inspiration in a quote by Theodore Roosevelt, “Cherish these natural wonders, cherish the natural resources, cherish the history and romance as sacred heritage, for your children and your children’s children. Do not let selfish men or greedy interests skin your country of its beauty, its riches or its romance.”

Bond said his pieces represent subtle humor: "I'm trying to take you to the barely perceptive edge of humor -- to a point where you laugh, but are hard-put to explain why."
