Snarkitecture

Snarkitecture, a New York based design firm founded by architect Alex Mustonen and artist Daniel Arsham, is renowned for reimagining the familiar. Collaborating with Aventura Mall, Snarkitecture designed the casings for seven interactive, digital directories, elevating wayfinding to an art form.
Each piece presents an irregular form that dissolves into the monolithic box containing the directory screen. Falling away from the outer faces, stacked layers of solid Coriander produce the visual effect of both receding and expanding, diffusing a sense of dynamic dimension.
The minimal white casings blend seamlessly in their surroundings, serving as both functional beacons and objects of beauty which could be displayed in the world’s foremost galleries.
